Avery Smith

Avery Smith was born and raised in Carlsbad, California where she began dancing at Carlsbad Dance Centre at the age of three. Avery trained in hip hop, tap, ballet, jazz, and contemporary and went on dance at Carlsbad Dance Centre for 15 years. During her time, she joined the competition team and competed for 8 consecutive years, going on to win multiple national competitions in dances such as Leave a Light on, choreographed by Jaci Royal. Throughout the years, she also had the opportunity to work with a variety of famous choreographers in varying genres of dance.

In addition, Avery is currently enrolled at San Diego State University working towards a degree in Political Science and a Minor in dance. At San Diego State University, she has participated in numerous performances and events through the dance program. After graduation, she hopes to go on and become a full time school teacher.

Throughout her years of experience, Avery has had the opportunity to attend many conventions, master classes, etc. Her love for dance has brought her back to her to the studio and she is excited for the opportunities dance will continue to present in her life!
