Fifteen years ago Jen traded her snow boots for flip flops and left NYC–and has never looked back!  After graduating from U of Buffalo with a degree in Dance, she moved to Chicago to dance with Hubbard Street Dance Company.  After a short stint dancing on cruise ships, she was tapped to choreograph in-house musical productions for RCCL and Celebrity Cruise Lines.  But the allure of the Great White Way was not to be ignored, and Jen moved to NYC to try her luck.  Broadway credits include Tommy and Greaseand European Tour credits include West Side Story (original choreography), Fame, and A Chorus Line (original choreography).
After saying good-bye to NYC, Jen continued to teach dance and Pilates (and some old school Step and Spinning classes, too) at famed fitness resort, Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico.  In 2006, she opened a Pilates studio in downtown San Diego, teaching dance and large apparatus Pilates classes.   A long-time fitness instructor, Jen also starred in a line of 5 fitness videos.
For over 30 years, Jen has felt blessed to teach dance nationally and abroad.  And no stranger to the competition circuit, she enjoyed growing up as a competitive dancer and later served as a judge for competitions throughout New England and the NY metropolitan area.
Along with her husband, Ingmar, and daughter, Abby, Jen now calls Carlsbad her home–and CDC her and Abby’s dance home.  Out of 15+ private studios she has taught in, Jen firmly maintains that CDC is the most professional, nurturing, and inspiring of all…for students and for dance educators alike.  Most of all, Jen loves watching students grow as people, not just as dancers, and looks forward to teaching CDC dancers–and learning from them–for years to come.
